During cherry blossom season between late March and mid-April, Mt. Yoshino is colored pink with the blossom of nearly 30,000 trees. In the evenings, the trees at various sites are lit up and the mountain takes on a magical atmosphere. Stalls sell snacks and refreshments to the many visitors that come to stroll romantically among the flowers at dusk.
