信貴山 玉蔵院 (宿坊)
Visitors to Shigisan Chogosonshi-ji Temple can stay overnight in a traditional Buddhist temple lodging, called a shukubo. There are three shukubo here: Jofuku-in, Senju-in and Gyokuzo-in. The price will depend on which lodging you choose and whether you opt for a private or shared room. The stay includes two (mostly vegetarian) meals, the opportunity to stroll the grounds in the evening when the lanterns are lit, and the chance to join in morning prayers. Some shukubo also offer activities like origami or transcribing sutras. A few monks can speak some English, but communication is generally not a problem. Children must be over 15. Each shukubo has its own website, or you can book through major booking engines or with the help of staff at a tourist information center such as Sarusawa Inn.
