Visit Nara

At the top of Sanjo Dori Street just off the main shopping area, you will find this information center right next to Sarusawa Pond. You can find tourist information in several languages along with a comfortable lounge area with free Wi-Fi. The center has a foreign exchange service and offers cultural experiences such as tea ceremony and calligraphy lessons.

You can also book accommodation, sightseeing tours, make transportation arrangements and purchase a range of tickets and passes here. From autumn 2016, the center will open several guest rooms doubling as an accommodation facility.

Nara Visitor Center & Inn is an excellent place to get your bearings before exploring Naramachi or walking up to Kohfukuji Temple and Todaiji Temple in Nara Park.
